Work Your Way is a programme where we work with young adults with an ECHP to prepare them for working life. The programme consists of 3 days per week.
Work Your Way is a small, bespoke provision that is suitable for young people who require additional support to find, access and maintain work placements that could lead to employment.
We deliver a Work Experience and a Supported Internship programme. The focus is enabling young people to access placements with one to one support provided if required. We work alongside local employers finding opportunities that meet your individual skills and aspirations. Each programme develops young people’s confidence and supports their ability to travel independently and effectively work with others with the opportunity to succeed in the workplace.
Work Experience
Work Experience is designed to bridge the gap between education and the world of work. Learners have the opportunity to follow a flexible course in a supportive and relaxed environment.
Supported Internship
A supported internship is a structured programme where the student is based primarily with an external employer for an extended work placement, facilitated by the support of a job coach. Ideally you have an idea of what type of work you want to do prior to starting this programme in order to get the most out of it.
